JONATHAN REUS

Experiments with music, performance, and applied science research. Musically experimenting with electronic noise and Appalachian folk idioms in the New Weird America scene of north Florida. In 2009 he relocated to Amsterdam on a Fulbright fellowship to pursue research into technologically-mediated music performance at the Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music, where he researched hybrid sensor instruments, real-time music software, and performance technology. His recent work involves electroacoustic free-improvisation, sonic explorations of functional waste, and research experiments into affective responses to touch.
